What does being Can-alien mean to you?
Being a Can-alien means being someone who enjoys traveling around the world while sharing their country with others, and being proud of being Canadian.
What passport(s) do you hold?
What does 'home' mean to you, and where is yours?
Home is where the heart is. My family and friends are in Toronto so no matter how far I travel this is always where I keep coming back to.
In what country have you had the most experiences as a Canalien? What happened?
During my third year of university I lived in Switzerland for a semester. That was by far the longest time I'd been abroad and the experience that sparked my travel bug. Every weekend, I'd find a way to take a plane, train to bus to somewhere new. Even if it was just exploring a new area of the city. I learnt to live and explore on my own. That experience helped me become the solo traveller I am today and has pushed me to explore the world.
Where is your favourite place in Canada to explore?
I love the territories. Exploring them all last year gave me three unique perspectives and experiences of Canada's North.
What city in the world did you travel to that has the best:
Galway, Ireland 🇮🇪
Paris, France 🇫🇷
Scenery:The Azores, Portgual 🇵🇹
If you could work anywhere in the world where would it be?
I'd love to work in the design industry in Copenhagen, Denmark.
What are you planning for your next big trip?
I'm heading to Morocco with Exodus Travel for their fitness tour. I've always wanted to visit Marrakech and hike through the Atlas Mountains.
What are your 3 most essential travel items?
The Flight Pack by Rogue Stories, makeup remover/face wipes, and a comfortable pair of shoes.
Where would you like to retire?
I'd love to retire in Barbados and be by my family and the Caribbean sea.
Anything else cool you'd like to share?
I think it's funny the friends you meet around the world and who you reconnect with through travel. I've known Syd since highschool and this is such an fun and unexpected way to reconnect with an old friend- and share our love for new places!

The Love Affair Collection stems from a personal Tale of Two Cities. Mainly because it involves a character named Sydney, a couple cities and tbh it rly was "the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness".
I made this collection for other Canaliens who may have left part of themselves in another city, too. I feel ya! Be proud of your nomad-icity.
